Dr. Steve Pelech delivers a presentation at the Canadian Citizens Care Alliance's weekly Roundtable Meeting on September 24, 20025. If you are interested in attending the online tapings of CCCA's weekly events (and participating in the unrecorded Q&A conversations that take place immediately following the formal presentations), consider becoming a CCCA member by visiting https://www.cccalliance.ca/membership/

Dr. Steven Pelech is full Professor in the Department of Medicine (Division of Neurology) at UBC, where his work centers on immunology, signal transduction, antibody microarrays, and high-throughput proteomics to understand how cells regulate immune responses and biomarkers in disease. He has produced hundreds of antibodies and synthetic peptides as tools for diagnostics and therapeutic research, including tracking antibody responses to pathogens such as SARS-CoV-2. Dr. Pelech has submitted scientific and expert testimony—most notably in the legal case involving Universal Ostrich Farm—arguing for the preservation of the flock on the basis of their presumed immunity and value for antibody-based research. He also serves as Co-Chair of the Scientific & Medical Advisory Committee of the Canadian Citizens Care Alliance.
