Gail Kim is catching heat—but let’s be honest, she said what a lot of people are thinking. She questioned whether Riho, who’s 5'1" and 99 pounds, looks credible as a wrestler. That’s not an insult—it’s a fair observation. Wrestling is storytelling, and sometimes that story doesn’t sell.

She also pointed out the uncomfortable camera angles, especially when Riho’s ring gear resembles a schoolgirl outfit and the camera goes right up the skirt. I don’t care if that’s “normal” in Japan—this isn’t Japan. In North America, that makes a lot of people uneasy, and rightfully so.

Gail gave her opinion. That’s it. She's not starting a war, she's raising a valid concern about presentation and perception in women’s wrestling.

You don’t have to agree—but don’t pretend there’s no conversation to be had.
