Jessica Chastain says she’s “not aligned” with Apple’s decision to postpone her new limited series The Savant. Inspired by a real-life investigator, the show tackles domestic extremism and was set to premiere September 26th on Apple TV+.

Apple pulled the release after “careful consideration,” reportedly due to heightened political tensions following the killing of Charlie Kirk.

Chastain, who also produces the show, says it’s more urgent than ever to honor the heroes who prevent violence before it happens.
