Toddler Asks “What Is Sunshine?” ☀️ | Handmade Dress + Heartfelt Moment

“Mama, what is sunshine?” ☀️✨
I had to think for a minute on how to answer that, and I fumbled a bit as I tried to paint a picture of a rather abstract concept for a two-year-old to grasp! I had asked my daughter to stand in the sunshine so I could take her picture, and she simply wanted to know what that was. After she asked for the third or fourth time (clearly my explanation wasn’t making sense) I finally responded with “you are, sweet girl!” and gently walked her to the patch of light I had in mind. She seemed to finally be satisfied with the answer and a few days later while driving to church she pointed out the window at some light streaming through the trees and yelled, “look Mama, SUNSHINE!” 😭☀️
