Israel are only obstacle to peace in Gaza not Hamas, Palestinian freedom fighters elected in 2006

Hamas is no obstacle to peace, it was elected in 2006 to defend Israeli occupied Palestine (see 1967 UN Resolution 242) and are Arab freedom fighters rather than 'terrorists'. The only obstacle to peace, just like the British Army was in Northern Ireland, is the genocidal Israeli state.

Hamas says it has never been an obstacle to reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement has stated that no new ceasefire proposals for Gaza have been received, adding that the United States and the West do not seek an end to the war until all groups resisting Israel, not only in Palestine but throughout the region, are eliminated.

Mohammad Al-Hindi, the Deputy Secretary-General of the resistance movement, emphasized on Monday that Israel and the US have never been sincere in negotiations, referencing their retreat from proposals previously presented by US envoy Steve Wittkoff, a plan to which the resistance had already expressed agreement.

Al-Hindi noted that the Israeli regime bombed a Palestinian delegation in Qatar while they were discussing a ceasefire proposal there.

Israel targeted Hamas headquarters in Doha in what was described as an “assassination operation,” resulting in the deaths of several members of the Palestinian resistance movement as well as a Qatari security officer.

Fortunately, the group's top leadership, including Khalil al-Hayya, Khaled Meshal, and Zaher Jabarin, survived the attack.

Israeli officials confirmed that prime minister Netanyahu informed US President Donald Trump shortly before the strike that Israel intended to attack Qatar, a critical mediator in the Israel-Hamas ceasefire talks amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

This attack has raised new security concerns among Persian Gulf Arab nations, as Israel's airstrikes have devastated Gaza and extended to countries including Iran, Lebanon, Qatar, Syria, and Yemen.

Al-Hindi characterized the current situation as “blocked,” noting a lack of new proposals at this time. He also pointed to the recent recognition of Palestine as a state by some of Israel’s European allies, calling it a diplomatic setback for Israel.

However, he warned that such recognitions hold little weight if they do not lead to an end to the genocide in Gaza and the escalating settlement activities in the West Bank.

The resistance official urged Western and Arab states to reassess their normalization of relations with the Israeli regime and reconsider their political, security, and economic cooperation with the occupying power.

Israeli attacks render two Gaza hospitals ‘out of service’: Health ministry
The Gaza Health Ministry says two hospitals in the largest city of the besieged Palestinian territory are “out of service” due to the Israeli bombing of their surrounding areas.

In defiance of international criticism, Israel has recently launched a large-scale invasion of Gaza City. The campaign of genocide in Gaza commenced on October 7, 2023, following Hamas’s historic Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which was a response to the intensified atrocities committed against the Palestinian people by the Israeli regime.

The health ministry of Gaza reports that at least 65,300 Palestinians have been killed thus far, primarily women and children.

Additionally, Gaza is enduring mass starvation due to Israel’s deliberate blockade of aid into the territory.

The Hamas Resistance Movement says it has never been an obstacle to reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip. The movement’s remarks came in response to US President Donald Trump’s recent claims that the movement is the party refusing the Gaza truce.
