Democrats sour further on Harris amid book tour

Vice President Kamala Harris’ media appearances promoting her book 107 Days are fueling frustration among Democrats, who worry her recounting of the 2024 election is divisive and risks portraying her as a “sore loser.” In interviews,

Harris defended her choices, including not selecting Pete Buttigieg as her running mate, and praised President Biden while criticizing his decision to seek reelection as “reckless.”

Some party strategists argue the book and media tour distract from presenting a unified vision and leadership, coming at a time when Democrats face low public polling.

Harris has not ruled out future political ambitions, but her inner circle says the book was not meant as a political exit, Politico has reported.

Supporters, however, praise her for candidly “speaking her truth” about the party’s challenges during the election.
