Why Christianity is Perceived as Hateful

I have some real issues with the current state of many religions.

Quite a few seem to be heading down the path of extremism, and ignoring the idea that the concept of God is supposed to involve love.

And that's sad.

Christianity isn't alone in this, but since it's the major religion of the United States, and that happens to be where I live, it's the one I bump up against the most often.

I used to feel alone in this.

I'd wonder how people could perpetuate a system that seems to invoke separation, and contempt for others.

These days, I'm split.

On the one hand, I enjoy the fact that more and more people are drifting away from Christianity.

On the other hand, I see that the more the religion shrinks, the more remaining members grow angrier.

Their false cries of persecution, and prosecution would be laughable, if they weren't so damaging.

Thus, when I stumble across a Christian who seems to genuinely understand the teachings of Jesus Christ, I am hopeful.

James Talarico, Primble, Moore...

They seem to actually understand what the Christian faith can stand for, unlike those—Mike Johnson, Mike Pence, and Mike Huckabee—who use religion to divide us.

(What's with it always being a "Mike," anyway?)

Anyway, sorry that I don't really answer the question asked in the title above.

I was told it had good "metrics."
