Ukraine massive new sea drones target Crimean Bridge_ Kyiv clears way for Toloka, Magura, Sea Baby

The Ukrainian military has long been destroying Russian air defense systems in Crimea. This was reported on Radio NV by military expert and editor-in-chief of Defense Express Oleg Katkov.
“This is a very convenient place for disabling Russian air defense systems — not only radar stations, but also anti-aircraft missile systems. They even destroyed the radar of the unique S-500 there. The work is proceeding methodically. And the enemy cannot afford not to protect the military facilities that it has on the occupied peninsula. And it is forced to strengthen and compensate for losses in its air defense systems,” Katkov said.
He added that these air defense systems are within easy reach of the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces, which allows Ukraine to systematically strike targets in Crimea. This also applies to the Crimean Bridge.
In June, the Security Service of Ukraine carried out a third attack on the Crimean Bridge, a critical supply and transportation route for Russian troops to occupied Ukrainian territories.
While the exact cause of the damage to the bridge’s underwater supports remains unclear, some defense experts suggest that the Toloka drone may have played a role.
“This is not something that happened once. This is something that happens every two or three days, something that gets deep behind enemy lines in Crimea. This is precisely the result of this methodical work to destroy air defenses. And when they are destroyed, the enemy does not have time to restore them, and strikes are launched. For example, at the Gvardiyskiy airfield, where the Mi-8 was destroyed. When the Buyan-M ship was shot down by the same drones in the Sea of Azov. When the RT-70 radio telescope in Yevpatoria is disabled,” Katkov explained.
As a reminder, in recent days, the "Ghost" special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine has carried out a series of high-precision attacks on military facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea. This may be an operation that opens the way to Crimea for Ukraine's new underwater drone, Defense Express reports.
On September 21, it was reported that three Mi-8 helicopters and a 55Zh6U "Nebo-U" radar station were destroyed.
On September 22, it became known about the shooting down of another Mi-8 and two rare Be-12 anti-submarine aircraft. The Be-12 is a Soviet aircraft, the first flight of which took place back in 1960. Despite its age, it is still used by the Russian Black Sea Fleet. No more than six such aircraft remain in service, which are used to patrol the waters and search for submarines.
Experts note that the decommissioning of the Be-12 may have several possible explanations: reducing the Russian Federation's capabilities in combating Ukrainian unmanned aerial systems; creating conditions for the operation of new Ukrainian underwater drones "Toloka", which were recently presented in Lviv; eliminating the threat posed by patrols tracking surface naval drones, such as "Magura" or "Sea Baby". Analysts emphasize that the strikes of the GUR not only cause significant losses to the Russian Black Sea Fleet, but also open the way for the active use of Ukrainian naval drones in the Black Sea.
