September 20th - Feastday of Saint Andrew Kim Taegon and the Korean Martyrs

On September 20th, the Catholic Church honours Saint Andrew Kim Taegon and the Korean Martyrs, who gave their lives for the Catholic faith in the 19th century. Saint Andrew Kim, the first native Korean priest, was only 25 when he courageously faced martyrdom in 1846. Along with 102 companions, their witness reminds us that true faith endures even in times of persecution.
