False Signs, Lying Wonders and Deceptive Miracles

Faith in God is rooted in the fundamental belief that a divine sovereign exists to accomplish the purposes that fulfill his own will. Biblical belief in God centers the will of God on the manifestation of his divinity in human flesh accomplishing the work of redemption for humankind in his own Son, Jesus Christ.

There are numerous elements of God’s work integral to the revealing of Christ inclusive of signs, wonders and miracles performed in support of the testimony of his divine nature and goodwill. Yet, none of these elements are meant to become a focus that places attention on acts of God, encounters with the supernatural, or spiritual experiences in substitution of the doctrine of faith in his Son.
