BREAKING: The Your Show Left Politics Event Just Got A LOT BIGGER!

Right, so I’ve got some even bigger news to share this time round, because the Your Show counter-conference event taking place on Monday and Tuesday has just levelled up again. At the end of this month, that same collective of left-wing journalists, campaigners and rabble-rousers you heard me talk about before that you had heard me talk about on a previous video — yes, I’ll be very much in the thick of it too — are coming together for two full days of live news, debate and analysis. And it’s all happening right in the heart of Liverpool, in a fully-kitted professional studio, with the cameras, the crew, the works.
Now, if you missed my previous promo for this event - this isn’t just some side project. It’s timed exactly to go head-to-head with the big dull headline act, Keir Starmer’s Labour Party Conference, taking place in Liverpool at the very same moment. Funny how that worked out isn’t it? He should tune in actually — it might teach him something.
And this time, the guest list is something else. I mentioned several guests previously, now even more have joined the line-up. Legendary filmmaker Ken Loach will be joining us — the man who’s told working-class Britain’s story with more honesty than any politician ever has. Andrew Feinstein, the former ANC MP who’s taken on corruption and the global arms trade, bringing a perspective you simply won’t hear on the BBC. And Curtis Daly from Turn Left, one of the sharpest independent political voices on YouTube these days. And that’s just the new additions. Add them to a line-up that already includes Audrey White, Asa Winstanley, Kit Klarenberg, Alexei Sayle, Martin Abrams, Craig Murray, Chris Williamson, Tadhg Hickey, Bonnie Craven, Dr Bob Gill, Jenny Manson and a long, long list more — you can see why this isn’t just another left event. It’s shaping up into the real counter-conference.
We’re going to be covering it all: Palestine, immigration, free speech, the weaponisation of antisemitism, the NHS, trade unions, global economics, the rise of the far right, solidarity with the most vulnerable, and the future of independent left wing media itself. And not just theory — we’ll be cutting in with breaking news and real-time analysis as it happens.
The presenting team is still a who’s who of independent media itself: Steve Walker from Skwawkbox, Steve Topple from The Canary, filmmaker John Graham-Davies, journalist Tina Werkman, comedy legend Crispin Flintoff, Curtis Daly is also joining the presenting team now, and yours truly of course, making the trek up from Cornwall to chair debates and stir the pot, lets be honest!
