Drones target FSB residence used as Putin’s vacation spot in Crimea; _important guests_ were present
SUBSCRIBE TO US! In the temporarily occupied Crimea, an attack was carried out on the so-called "FSB dacha". The explosions shook the area around the Foros sanatorium, which is associated with Russian special services and where Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin has rested several times. Russian propaganda media write about drone attacks and report that there may be deaths and injuries as a result of the strikes. The Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country, in turn, reports that Ukrainian drones were allegedly shot down over the Black Sea and the Crimean peninsula itself. Returning to Foros and the attack on this facility, there is one important detail. According to Russian media, a private event was to take place in the sanatorium’s restaurant on Sunday, but the restaurant’s website states that it will be closed for “special service” on September 21. Meanwhile, the Telegram channel “Krymskiy Vetr” reports, citing its source, that there were “very important guests” at the sanatorium on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Telegram channel CyberBoroshno published a photo of a fire in the village of Sanatorne, which is adjacent to Foros. Foros is a resort town on the southernmost coast of the Crimean peninsula. The likely target was the Foros sanatorium, a luxury resort located near four Russian state dachas – the country homes of the Russian political elite. Ukrainian drones struck the Foros resort in Russian-occupied Crimea, causing damage and casualties, according to Sergei Aksyonov, the head of the illegal occupation government. Aksyonov claimed that the attack damaged “several facilities” at the resort, as well as a nearby village school. Debris from the downed drones caused a grass fire near the city of Yalta. The Foros resort was purchased in 2016 by the Federation of Trade Unions of Tatarstan with financial support from Russian businesses, including the oil company Tatneft. The federation is believed to be acting as a proxy to protect the real owners from international sanctions. Russian President Vladimir Putin has reportedly vacationed at the Foros resort on several occasions, which is reportedly linked to Russia’s Federal Security Service. Russia has illegally occupied Crimea since 2014, turning the peninsula into a heavily militarized bastion to support its war against Ukraine. Ukrainian forces have repeatedly fired missiles and drones at the peninsula since the start of a full-scale war in 2022. Most recently, Ukrainian military intelligence destroyed three Russian Mi-8 helicopters and a radar station in occupied Crimea.
