The Ashlie Roberts Story: Police Corruption and Survival

MONROE COUNTY, Ga. -- It’s a night Ashlie Roberts can’t forget.

“I don’t get scared easily, but that sort of threw me for a loop," said Roberts.

She said it started with a text message from a Monroe County sheriff’s deputy asking to meet up. At the time she was facing a DUI and methamphetamine possession charges.

“I just figured he wanted to get information, like he said. I didn’t think nothing as far as what was going to happen happening, but I was wrong about that," Roberts said.
