The Jungle Route (down) - Musical Version - Mulanje Hiking

From near the plateau edge beneath Chagaru Peak and down the Jungle Route. I added music to this one. If you want to see the same with 'real hiking sounds' (birds singing, footsteps and me breathing) then you will not have too far to search.

The last day on the mountain (the descent) is always a long hard day. It's also sad because it's the day you say goodbye the beauty of life on the plateau. We descended on this occasion via 'The Jungle Route'.

A large long sloping valley cuts deep into the side of Mulanje Mountain. Therefore the average gradient of the Jungle Route (the path within this gully) is not very steep by Mulanje standards.

However, the relatively shallow gradient means a longer horizontal distance to achieve the necessary change in height.
