This song carries the vision of the Eagle and Condor prophecy, a teaching carried by Indigenous peoples of the Andes and Amazon and echoed in many nations across the Americas. It tells of a time when the Eagle of the North, representing mind, vision, and science, and the Condor of the South, representing heart, intuition, and spirit, would be divided.

For centuries the Eagle dominated while the Condor nearly disappeared. But the elders promised that one day they would meet again in the same sky, and balance would return.

The Hopi carved into stone their own prophecy of two paths — one leading to destruction, the other to life.

The Anishinaabe speak of the Seven Fires, warning that in the Seventh Fire humanity must choose a road of materialism and ruin or a road of life and renewal. The echo of elders across continents still holds the flame through centuries of silence, and now they sing with us. They say the time has come again for healing.

Generations of elders from the Andes, the Hopi mesas, the Mi’kmaq coasts, the Cree and Ojibwa forests, and the Métis heartland speak of children born with ancient eyes — old souls who already remember.

These children are here to help mend the circle and guide the people to rise above division.

And in that rising, the Eagle and the Condor take flight together, joined by the Hoop of the North, bringing mind and heart into union, weaving vision with compassion, knowledge with spirit, nations with nations.

Prophecies across the land all point toward the same horizon: that there will come a time when the land is united, and all people walk as one. We are all Indigenous to the land we are born on.

We are all gifted life and freedom by the Creator.

At its core, this song is about prophecy turning into practice.

It bows to the many lineages that carried these visions through darkness and silence.

It joins their call for a new balance based on natural law, for a world where nations find common ground, where people of every origin walk together, and where the healing is ours to tend.
