Bedouin face eviction as Israeli settlement spreads near Jerusalem

The land available to Atallah al-Jahalin’s Bedouin community for grazing livestock near Jerusalem has steadily shrunk, as expanding Jewish settlements on Israeli-occupied territory encircle the city and push deeper into the West Bank. Israel approved the so-called E1 project last month, causing outcry because it would close the circle of settlements around Jerusalem and cut the West Bank in two. Lucy Fielder has more.
