This will be especially true if pro-Trump billionaire Larry Ellison is able to buy up even more media companies. Ellison already owns CBS and Paramount, but he may soon own CNN and HBO, as well as TikTok. In addition, Sinclair Broadcasting now owns a significant number of local media stations, all of which are pro-Trump. Media companies not controlled by Trump-linked billionaires (like ABC News) have lost their independence through government pressure or capitulation.
