From Body to Brand: How Therapeutic Sovereignty, Abortion Logic, and Post-Sexual-Revolution Ethics Produced the Transgender Moment
This presentation unpacks the deeper roots of today’s transgender movement. It argues that transgenderism is not an isolated trend but the downstream result of upstream cultural revolutions:
• Abortion, which severed sex from procreation and taught that the will can erase biological givenness.
• The normalization of homosexuality, which sacralized desire as identity.
• The rise of sexology and psychiatry, which institutionalized the split between sex and gender and enthroned therapeutic sovereignty.
Drawing from history, law, psychiatry, and theology, this study exposes how Western culture trained itself to see the body as raw material for identity projects rather than as created meaning.
