Marco Rubio, the son of Cuban immigrants and a former U.S. Senator from Florida, now serves as the 72nd Secretary of State and acting National Security Advisor.

Rubio credited Charlie Kirk's work with inspiring a movement of young people—particularly men—who embraced marriage, raising children, and a belief in American exceptionalism.

He described Kirk as having “an uncanny amount of wisdom for a man as young as he was” and emphasized his boldness, noting that Kirk “actively sought out to engage, peacefully, respectfully, those whom he disagreed with.”

Rubio highlighted Kirk’s commitment to civil discourse, citing that just one day before his death on the campus of Utah Valley University, Kirk had reached out via direct message to CNN commentator Van Jones to discuss a dispute over Black crime and Kirk’s rhetoric.

Rubio stressed that because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, believers are freed from sin and promised a future with God, concluding, “we are going to have a great reunion there again with Charlie and all the people we love.”

"...if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”" ~Romans 10:9-11
