"Bald Eagle Perch Hunting: Filming Haliaeetus Leucocephalus in Montana," filmed in the Rocky Mountains by author, nature, landscape, and wildlife photographer-filmmaker Lochlainn Seabrook of Seabrook Films and Sea Raven Press. No Music, No People, Just Nature.

We're avid birdwatchers here at Sea Raven Press, which is why I film them whenever possible. In Montana recently I shot this 14 minute 4K video of a wild bald eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) perch hunting from an old dead tree - part of the subalpine krummholz that flourishes in the Treasure State's Rocky Mountain region. Our regal raptor was about 1/2 mile away, which required the use of a powerful telephoto lens. At the 5:08 minute mark I trained my camera on a colorful display near the crest of a distant mountain: a small deciduous forest turning a flaming golden yellow with the approach of the fall season. It was quite a sight from several miles away glowing in the Sun at 10,000 feet elevation. Enjoy! Lochlainn
