Royal Rewind: Royal Family Attends Order of the Garter Ceremony (1994)

On 13 June 1994, the Royal Family participated in the Order of the Garter ceremony, a tradition founded in 1348 and revived in 1948.

Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, Prince Charles, and Princess Anne attended the colourful procession, cloaked in velvet robes and hats featuring ostrich feathers.

They were joined by civilian members including former prime ministers Sir Edward Heath and James Callaghan.
