Week 35 Tutorial: The Servant Has Come (Mark)

Week 35 Readings of our 2025 Chronological Bible-in-a-Year Reading Challenge bring us to the Gospel of Mark. Just half the size of the other 'Synoptics' (Matthew and Luke), this Gospel gets straight 'to the point' when detailing the life, ministry and death of Jesus Christ—God's Suffering Servant.

In this video, Chad Mansbridge reminds us again of the importance of seeing the Bible as fundamentally one consistent book, to which we must continue to apply the same reading-rules including the recognition of styles of speech, and intended (original) audience.

Chad also highlights how Marks' Gospel sees Jesus drawing large crowds, yet attempting to keep His miracle-ministry something of a secret. Not big-noting Himself, Jesus surely took on the very nature of a Servant.
