The Bold Encourager Journal & Painting Episode 4: Even the Cactus Need Water!

Do you ever look at a cactus and wonder why the survive on such little water? That thought came to me towards the end of January 2022. Then, I looked up and found that cactus is very resilient. This is because they store up their water in their leaves. This had me thinking because my dry season had started the last six months of 2021 and I had not prepared for it. I had prepared myself spiritually by praying and reading the Bible. However, I hadn’t been dedicated to my physical and mental health. This particular dry season continued to mid 2023.

Please join me for this devotional about the importance of rest so we can prepare for the dry or busy seasons. I will start with reading the devotional I wrote, share some highlight video of me painting a cactus video while I read this devotional, have a short discussion about the devotional, share a few bible verses and conclude with prayer. I encourage you to learn from the cactus by storing up rest in the slow seasons, so that you are resilient in your wilderness seasons.
