The 1989 classic high school movie, Lean On Me, tells the story of Principal Joe Clark and his unorthodox and dictatorial methods of reviving a dilapidated and failing educational institution. Beneath the surface of the this typical "feel-good" film is a much deeper message: Communism, at its core, is not a negative form of government, just the despots who control and manipulate the masses through fear and intimidation. If, however, the ruler is reminded of his past ideals, he can become the benevolent ruler that nation would love and worship.
