Evil in Your Neighborhood

Social media algorithms are just the worst.

When I first posted this last year, both YouTube and TikTok flagged it, because “scary.”

When I reposted it earlier today, TikTok said, “Oh, hey… there’s nothing wrong with this true crime story. It’s compelling, frightening, but a good reminder that we never really know where evil lurks, and that we should remain vigilant.”

My wife and I live in a “safe” neighborhood.

We live in a “safe” city; a place I feel comfortable leaving my car running while running into a store.

Sure, I drive a manual, and no one knows how to steal one of those anyway, but whatever.

So, will YouTube realize this is a good, true story, and react kindly?

Or will they go all crybaby again?

I’m about to find out…
