Are You "Saved"? - Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:30-31

When the early church and followers of Jesus talked about “salvation” and being “saved”, what did they mean? Was their focus on being saved from an eternal fiery torture chamber called hell or something else? Just how did they understand “salvation”?
