Snowboard achivemant that took me 3 years!

Today is a special day—September 20th, 2025—because it marks a personal achievement of my third year in a row snowboarding every single month of the year in Colorado.

I like to think about how it’s even possible to keep this streak alive.

Today’s turns are not exactly about deep powder or perfect groomers. I’m not riding Saint Mary’s glacier.

Instead, Im hiking up the tiny leftover patch of snow that is leftover from Copper Mountain’s summer hike park.

The snow is thin, sun-baked, and definitely on its last legs and a rock board is recommended —but it still counts, and that’s what makes it fun.

There’s something about putting on the snowboarding gear, hiking up, strapping in and linking even a few quick turns, no matter how short and terrible the run, that keeps the stoke alive.

This little September mission isn’t just about a personal record. It’s a celebration of Colorado’s year-round snowboarding spirit—and a reminder that winter is right around the corner.

the excitement is building for next month, when the lifts start spinning again and the new winter season officially begins.

Here’s to three straight years of monthly turns and to the fresh season that’s just over the horizon.
