An old advertisement for the Dubai Expo 2023
But still impressive, especially considering that the video was filmed "for real" and not as computer editing.
Professional skydiver and stuntwoman Nicole Smith-Ludwik, dressed as an Emirates flight attendant, climbed to the top of the Burj Khalifa tower. She stood on the very spire of the tower (828 meters above the ground), holding signs inviting people to the Expo, while an Airbus A380 with the exhibition's branded livery flew in the sky.
A special time slot with completely closed airspace over the city center was allocated for the aviation part of the video. The airliner made 11 circles around the skyscraper at a low altitude (900 meters, corresponding to the height of the Burj Khalifa) and a very low speed, about 145 knots (approximately 269 km/h), to provide spectacular shots for the video.
