Marvel Defiles Stan Lee with AI Hologram at Comic Cons

It was announced that Stan Lee will make appearances at comic conventions in the form of an AI hologram that seem unsettling.

The beloved icon behind many Marvel comics passed away back in 2018, but Marvel has not stopped trying to market his image. This AI hologram is just the latest iteration following the use of his X handle to promote Marvel projects or promote NFTs. James Earlt Jones is another deceased actor that has been revived through AI; however, the actor behind Darth Vader understood where AI technology was heading and specifically granted permission for his likeness to be used after his death. With Stan Lee it’s unclear whether he gave similar permission or is his estate willing to disrespect him for a quick buck.
