Apparent magnitude (brightness) measurements of 3I/ATLAS reveal a sharp ~20x increase in brightness since around September 7th, a massive unexpected jump from this mysterious interstellar visitor. Is our instrumentation faulty, or has its complex dusty plasma coma really grown that much since reaching 2 astronomical units (AU) of the Sun? Geophysicist Stefan Burns reports....
