French President Emmanuel Macron visited the bell towers and roof of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on September 19, as they are set to reopen to public visits after six years. The cathedral was inaugurated in December last year and the masses were resumed, however the towers had remained closed. On April 15, 2019, a major fire broke out in Notre Dame, which heavily destroyed the Parisian monument.
