On the night of September 18, units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the logistics hub of the 810th separate marine brigade of the Russian Federation, located in the Kursk region. This was reported by the Special Operations Forces. The strike was carried out on the enemy's supply base, ammunition depots and a hidden storage location for the brigade's weapons and military equipment. As the Special Operations Forces emphasized, the 810th Marine Brigade, which is stationed in Sevastopol temporarily occupied by Russia, is actively participating in offensive operations in the North Slobozhansky direction. In addition, the personnel of the brigade were involved in committing war crimes, including the execution of Ukrainian prisoners of war. The North-Slobozhansky direction is a direction that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine included in its reports on June 16, 2025, in connection with the activation of Russian occupation forces in the border areas of the Sumy region. “Starting from June 16, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will report in its daily reports on the progress of military operations in another area - North-Slobozhansky,” the statement of the General Staff says. On June 26, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, stated that based on the results of May and June, the wave of enemy attempts to launch a “summer offensive” from Russian territory is subsiding. As of this week, the advance of Russian troops into the border areas of the Sumy region has been stopped, and the contact line has been stabilized, the Commander-in-Chief reported.
