LMTH #100 - The Murderous Spirit: Charlie Kirk & AfD

In today’s world, hatred is being fueled like never before—by politics, by social media, and by a culture that no longer values life. Recent tragedies, such as the deaths of AfD party members in Germany and the killing of Charlie Kirk, remind us of the dark reality: the spirit of murder is alive and active in our generation.

But as followers of Christ, we are called to rise above this spirit. Scripture tells us that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers” (Ephesians 6:12). When we see violence born out of disagreement and ignorance, we must choose forgiveness, not bitterness. Hatred only multiplies darkness, but forgiveness brings peace, healing, and light.

This message is not about politics—it’s about the condition of the human heart. Let us be peacemakers in a world consumed with division. As Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God” (Matthew 5:9).
