Netanyahu responds to accusations against his government in the murder of Charlie Kirk
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu broke his silence regarding the recent and alarming accusations linking Israel to the murder of conservative American leader Charlie Kirk. In a strong statement, Netanyahu called these claims “a monstrous lie” and emphasized that they are completely false and outrageous. Citing the historical Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels, he noted, “the bigger the lie, the faster it spreads,” highlighting the severity of the misinformation circulating today.
Netanyahu paid tribute to Charlie Kirk, describing him as “a giant” and “a once-in-a-century talent,” whose life was dedicated to defending freedom, the United States, and shared Judeo-Christian civilization. He recalled that Kirk had a deep love and respect for Israel and the Jewish people, even mentioning that Charlie personally expressed this to him in a letter sent just months before his tragic death.
The Prime Minister emphasized the personal and spiritual connection he shared with Kirk, underscoring that one of the greatest joys of his life as a Christian was advocating for Israel and strengthening alliances with the Jewish community to protect Judeo-Christian civilization. Netanyahu highlighted that Kirk encouraged him to address the American public directly about Israel’s vital importance for U.S. national security, recalling Kirk’s words: “The Holy Land is so important to my life that it pains me to see support for Israel fading.”
Furthermore, Netanyahu highlighted Kirk’s character as a man of principles and firm convictions. He pointed out that even when they disagreed on certain policies or decisions, Kirk’s actions were always guided by sincere love for Israel and the Jewish people. This, Netanyahu said, reflects the essence of a free country and the integrity of an individual acting from the heart.
Weeks before his death, Netanyahu invited Kirk to visit Israel again, a trip that, sadly, never happened. The Prime Minister did not hesitate to condemn the rumors that have started circulating, suggesting they might be driven by obsession or even funded by external actors like Qatar, attempting to discredit both Kirk and Israel.
Concluding his statement, Netanyahu firmly asserted that Charlie Kirk was “a great man” and that his legacy deserves respect and honor, not lies or slander. He ended his remarks with a tribute: “Rest in peace, Charlie Kirk. May your memory be a blessing.” His declaration aims to put an end to falsehoods, reinforce U.S.-Israel ties, and protect the reputation of both against unfounded accusations.
