The inspiration behind this track that wraps up the album is the timeless, perennial philosophy that has been echoed through all major wisdom traditions through the ages, and states - behind all the appearances, masks, and conceptions of identity and personality that we carry around as our limited human selves - ultimately, we are a spark from the One Source - infinite, timeless presence itself. The Truth of our being is that we are all fractals of the One Self that creates, sustains, destroys the Universe - "made in the image and likeness of God." And we can access this Self, that exists beyond time and space, at any point we wish along our human journey.

A beautiful ancient sanskrit verse that encapsulates this idea - and can be used as a prompt for meditation and contemplation - is this:

More radiant than the Sun
Purer than the Snow
Subtler than the Ether
Is the Self
The Spirit within my Heart
I am that Self

Halcyon Listening Room is the third full-length album from pianist, composer, and producer Julian Hartwell, featuring an epic collaboration with sound healer Kirk “Evolvlove” Jones. A project almost five years in the making, the album synergistically fuses Hartwell’s piano and production skills with Evolvlove’s vast arsenal of sonic healing tools such as crystal and bronze bowls, gongs, flutes, percussion, tuning forks, and more.
