REPENTANCE AND CHANGE: WORTH OUR SPIRITUAL HEALTH!

1 John 1:8-9 New King James Version
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA MY GOOD FRIENDS!!!

I've never said this until now, but I've had some deep issues with the book of Proverbs, and it’s because passages such as Proverbs 28:13 have been used to manipulate and gaslight me. I know you might find it strange, but given the background I grew up in trust me when I tell you that Bible verses were used as weapons for verbal abuse, and it wasn't until I took a wonderful class called Old Testament poetics, with a very sweet man named Julius Bosco, that God renewed my love for Psalms and Proverbs and I'm so grateful to the Lord for it.

I think that's why when I read these verses from this morning's devotions, and as I contemplate the questions from this morning's devotional, I am encouraged as well as convicted when it comes to not being afraid to confess my sins before God. These questions from this morning's devotional, speak volumes believe, as to not just the importance of, but the encouraging results and the blessings that come from confessed sin, and I had to share them with you tonight. Please read these questions carefully, and see just what I mean.

As you consider confessing sin, why is God's everlasting love encouraging?

How might the enemy deceive you in your struggle with sin?

Tonight, my friends, I'd like to share some things that I have been learning through my study of Psalms and Proverbs, as well as other passages of scripture that deal with the importance of confessing sin to God, through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that what I share with you, will help you see The importance of confessing your sin, because you can't hide it from God, and that there's no greater joy in confessed sin. So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I pray that you not only see the importance of confessing your sins before the Lord, but that when you do confess, you find not just forgiveness, but relief like nothing else in a burden being released off of you! Know that God truly forgives, that God's love for you is unconditional, and that there is great joy in confessed sin. Please don't ever let the enemy convince you otherwise! Satan's very crafty, and will tell you that either whatever you're doing is no big deal, or that if you do go to the Lord to confess your sins, that God will want nothing to do with you, try to make you go through impossible spiritual hoops to earn His forgiveness, when you don't need to earn anything, but accept God's forgiveness, or that He'll constantly bring up your past in your face. None of that is true! Know that when you confess your sin, it is forgiven and forgotten, so don't be afraid to let Christ change you!
