GOOD NIGHT [FOREVER] JIMMY!
The death of the Jimmy Kimmel Show is a breath of fresh air.

● Jimmy Kimmel is bummed because he talked himself onto the unemployment and maybe even unemployable line.

● ABC announced they’ve “indefinitely” yanked Kimmel’s show over horrible remarks in the worst possible taste about the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

● Kimmel had some pretty shitty things to say in front of his live studio audience. Of course, his crap-encrusted monologues often offend people who have done him no harm.

● FCC Chairman Brendan Carr went after Disney — ABC’s parent company and ultimately, Kimmel’s employer — over Kimmel’s comments. Carr demanded ABC take action over “some of the sickest conduct possible.”

● Kimmel’s also facing blowback from the Sinclair Broadcast Group and Nextar, which own dozens of ABC affiliates, with both slamming the comedian and preempting his show. So, even without ABC canning this guy, one of the largest broadcast chains in the country began boycotting Kimmel right away. Hooray for Sinclair and Nextar.

● Sinclair went as far as to demand that Kimmel issue a direct apology to the Turning Point USA founder’s family and make a “meaningful personal donation” to Turning Point USA. This with the understanding that literally millions of viewers would not see Kimmel on the air until he apologized.

● Lord Kimmel puffed up his chest and refreshed his narcissism as he rejected dozens of calls for an apology during a phone conversation with top Disney exec Dana Walden Wednesday afternoon when he learned he was being taken off the air.

● So here he is, Jimmy ‘The God’ Kimmel ignored the insistence of his highest boss. Bad move!

● Kimmel — known for his vitriolic attacks on President Trump and anyone aligned with him in his monologues — felt his remarks required no apologies. Understand, this guy has hubris beyond description and a long-broken moral compass. He is, in his mind, a God.

● It’s important to note that Kimmel’s ratings had been in a death spiral for nearly a year before his faux pas. All his mouth got him was an acceleration of plans to can him anyway. David Brolls, a network executive said, “He’s been on the way out since at least January when his ratings started an uninterrupted death spiral. We’ve [programming executives] been taking bets on how long he’ll last, and that was before this Charlie Kirk thing.”

● Signaling the eventual and almost certain death of late night television as we know it, Kimmel was sacked just two months after CBS knocked off Stephen Colbert, following a similar political / moral controversy.

● He’s done. Bye Jimmy, don’t let the door hit you on the way out!
