Be Patient and Stand Firm: Sept 22 And Navigating the Space In Between

You're going to want to watch todays video replay.

Over the last weeks I have been living in a place I call the space in between — that flat, uneasy territory where one season is dying and another is being born. The Lord has been pressing deeply into this place with me. In this post I want to walk you through what I’ve seen, what I’m hearing, and what I believe we must do now: be patient, stand firm, prepare our hearts, and take practical steps while the dawn is still on the horizon.

The Place Where Night Meets Dawn

“Be patient. Stand firm because the Lord’s coming is near.” That is James 5:8 and it has been beating in my spirit. I’ve been intentionally silent at times, sitting in the tension. I see it in the small things — the sun rising later in the morning, the stars still visible when they wouldn’t have been a month ago. The seasons are shifting. The night is not fully over, and the day hasn’t fully broken. That is the space in between.

In scripture the same tension exists: the farmer waits between the early and the late rains. The seed is planted, but there are no sprouts to see yet. That is patient faith. That is what God is calling us to now: establish your hearts. Don’t grumble. Don’t fall into despair. Do not let the day catch you like a thief. We are children of the light and of the day (1 Thessalonians 5).

Signs in the Spirit and Signs in the Natural

I want to be transparent with you. For the past month unusual things have been happening around me — not contrived, not sought after — videos popping up on my phone and computer unbidden, messages arriving while I’m building a website or getting in the car. I asked the Lord, “Do you want me to share these?” and He kept confirming. When prophetic nudges come like that, we track them. We weigh them in the Spirit, and we act in wisdom.

We are seeing shifts in culture and systems too. Corporations are being called to account in ways that would have been unheard of a year ago: media hosts and institutions being exposed, regulatory pressure that once favored certain narratives now turning the tide. These are examples of a separation — a winnowing fork — happening. The Lord has said He will shake everything loose until only His unshakable kingdom remains. The shaking looks like disruption in institutions, exposure of corrupt networks, and the removal of platforms that have been tools of deception.

Examples I’ve Noticed
Breaking reports of media leaders being suspended or held accountable for misinformation. (The View Cancelled, Jimmy Kimmel Cancelled and others)
Regulatory bodies signaling severe consequences for politically motivated falsehoods on mainstream platforms. (FCC to Disney and ABC)
Shifts in ownership and influence over once-dominant narrative outlets. (Rothchilds divesting of The Economist)

I don’t point these things out to stir fear — but to remind you that what we’ve been decreeing and praying over for years is beginning to move. This is the space in between accelerating toward a new epoch.

Rosh Hashanah, the Feast of Trumpets, and the Timing Question

We are approaching Rosh Hashanah and the Feast of Trumpets — a season the Lord has impressed on me strongly. I do not claim to have every detail of the day or hour. Scripture is plain: no one knows the precise day or hour. Yet we are called to watch, to stay ready, to keep our lamps full of oil. I have been sensing a unique weight about this season — not as a fear-driven countdown, but as a moment of opportunity and an open heaven for restoration, recovery, and increase.

Some in the body are receiving visions and confirmations that are very specific. Others are sensing an undercurrent of urgency. I have watched a woman share dreams and visions about timing and three days of darkness, and while I do not rigidly adopt every detail she described, I do take seriously the convergence of prophetic impressions that point to a dramatic, God-ordained reset.

Three Days of Darkness — What Might That Mean?

Conversations and dreams about a period of darkness have been circulating. In the Exodus account, darkness came upon Egypt and the people in Goshen who had the blood on their dwellings had light where others had none. That pattern offers both warning and comfort. If there is a season where natural systems are interrupted — a grid-down, an internet cut, an extended blackout — Scripture and prophetic wisdom teach us two things:

Protection comes to those who have offered their hearts and trusted the Lord (the Goshen pattern).
Light in our dwellings will be sustained — whether supernatural or through wise preparation.

I am urging practical preparedness, not hoarding. Make sensible plans. Have water and food. Keep gas in your tanks. Think through simple contingency measures so your family is secure if things go dark for a few days. That is wisdom, not fear.

Practical Steps I’m Calling You To

This is a pastoral word with practical application. If the Lord has stirred your heart, do these things now:

Prepare Basic Supplies: Have water for several days, nonperishable food, and full gas tanks. If the grid goes down, pumps and electronic systems may not work.
Keep Your Lamp Full: Spiritually, stay in the secret place. Pray. Fast. Offer the sacrifice of your heart. The prophetic word I received said, “Let offering of heart be your protection.”
Print Worship: If the internet goes down, have printed worship songs and scriptures so you can gather your household to worship without screens.
Cover Windows & Make a Sacred Space: Some have been instructed to create a place of safety and worship in their homes.
Invest in a Mission Mindset: Don’t retreat into apathy or consumption Christianity. Use this season to build — mission, projects, platforms that carry light.
Why We Must Not Be Rapture-Obsessed — Do the Work

I’ve lost friends over this point. Many are looking for an escape hatch — a sudden rapture where we can retreat and wait. I’m clear: we must not use eschatology as permission to do nothing. Jesus said keep your lamps full and do what I’ve asked you to do. The mission continues until the day of His return. God will equip those He calls. We live as children of the day and we stand to encourage, strengthen, and build the body now.

The Harvest Is Ripe

Psalm 27 and Isaiah 60 have been ringing in my spirit. Isaiah says, rise up, shine; the glory of the Lord rises upon you. Darkness may blanket the earth, yet the glory arises. This is not merely poetic. I have been given a clear sense that harvest is coming: God is moving to restore, to give double for trouble, to reunite and increase His people. There will be a sorting; some will be sifted and removed, and that will leave vacancies — openings for fresh leaders, fresh voices, and new platforms to carry true light.

If you have been incubating a project, a ministry, a podcast, a book, a business that bears light, press forward. God is preparing to accelerate what He has given you. Isaiah 60 says nations will run to your light — I believe we will see unprecedented openings for those who carry authentic revelation and kingdom culture.

Questions to Ask Before You Invest or Partner
Is there true light in this platform or ministry?
Are we sowing into Christ-honoring leaders and truth-bearing projects?
Does this initiative release God and not just build a brand or a following?
Prophetic Encouragement — Keep Watching, But Keep Working

I have felt repeatedly: be patient. Be firm. Establish your heart. The Lord is near. He is shaking what can be shaken so only His unshakable kingdom remains. That shaking will expose darkness and create room for redemption and restoration. It will reveal whom the Lord is building for the next season.

Stay awake. Don't be caught like those who say peace and safety and find sudden destruction at their door. Keep your spiritual armor on: breastplate of faith, helmet of hope. Fast, pray, encourage each other, strengthen the weak.

A Final Word on Discernment and Obedience

Not every dream, not every viral video, and not every prophetic voice is equally weighted. Test everything by scripture, by the Spirit, and by wise counsel. I test the Spirit — I ask for confirmation, I pray the blood of Jesus over messages, and I look for fruit. But when the Lord gives a nudging — even to look at a license plate — obey. He will meet you where you are. He will give you direction in ways that are personal and sometimes surprising.

We are in a critical, narrow place — the space in between. The old thing hasn't fully died. The new thing hasn't fully arrived. But by God’s grace and timing, the dawn is breaking. Prepare practically. Prepare spiritually. Speak truth. Be the light in your neighborhood, your city, and your nation.
