FAILURE & FREEDOM in Utah's playground

This was supposed to be the perfect trip... cinematic trails, iconic locations, a bold continuation to Ridge Craft story.

But when the desert winds rolled in, everything changed.

What began as an overlanding adventure to Factory Butte turned into a test of patience, improvisation, and perspective. With plans unraveling, I found myself exploring Goblin Valley, Delicate Arch, and Gemini Bridges... trying to salvage a story from scattered footage and unexpected weather.

In the end, I found something better than the original plan: quiet moments with my son, Maddox, and a deeper appreciation for the journey itself.

This is a story about failure. About what happens when plans fall apart.
And how sometimes… that’s where the real adventure begins.
