I finally have a full-size oven in my new UK home 🇬🇧 (after years of battling with a mini oven in South Africa!) — and what better way to celebrate than by baking this Banana Bread Drizzle Cake from scratch. 🍌✨

With just 6 simple ingredients (+ icing sugar for the drizzle), this loaf is moist, delicious, and the crispy ends are my absolute favorite! Perfect for tea time, breakfast, or anytime you need a cozy homemade bake.

Ingredients:
* 140g caster sugar
* 140g softened butter
* 140g self-raising flour
* 2 eggs
* 2 ripe bananas (mashed)
* 1 tsp baking powder

* 50g icing sugar (for drizzle)

Method:
1. Preheat oven to 160°C. Butter + line a 21cm loaf tin with baking paper.
2. Cream butter + sugar. Beat eggs and mix with some flour.
3. Mash bananas into remaining flour + baking powder. Fold into batter.
4. Pour into tin. Bake 50 mins at 160°C.
5. Cool 10 mins in tin, then 1 hr on a rack.

6. Mix icing sugar + water for drizzle. (Tip: don’t drizzle too soon or it melts in!)
