Week 34 Readings of our 2025 Chronological Bible-in-a-Year Reading Challenge see us kick off the New Testament Scriptures with the longest, and possibly the oldest, of the four Gospel Accounts—Matthew.

You can read through all 28 chapters in seven daily sittings by following this sequence: Chs. 1–3 then 4–7 then 8–10 then 11–13 then 14–20 then 21–25 then 26–28). Otherwise, complete it in three longer readings: Chs. 1–10 then 11–20 then 21–28.

In this video, Chad Mansbridge highlights three oft-repeated qualities of this Gospel—the regular references to God as 'Father', the persistent presence of Jesus' 'foes', and the constant quoting of Old Testament 'fulfilment' through Jesus' life, death and ministry.

Yes indeed... the Age of Fulfilment has Come!
