Identity Politics (Ep. 20): Only Power Stops Power (w/ Paul Kersey)

In this episode of Identity Politics, Kevin DeAnna argues that conservatives’ greatest weakness is their reliance on rhetoric, constitutions, and appeals to norms rather than real power. Drawing on James Burnham’s The Machiavellians, he explains why only power can restrain power and why moderation and debate offer no protection when the left views its opponents as enemies to destroy. He blasts outlets like CNN, ABC, and late-night hosts’ coverage of Charlie Kirk’s assassination for downplaying the crime and even romanticizing the killer, warning that our culture now openly celebrates “assassination chic.”

He is joined by Paul Kersey of American Renaissance to discuss the SPLC’s recent report on Turning Point USA. The report brands TPUSA as a hate group, attacks Kirk’s rhetoric, and highlights his influence on conservative youth and loyalty to Trump. Together, they explore the tactics of lawfare, the declining credibility of the SPLC, and what Kirk’s rise - and assassination - means for the future of conservatism in the U.S. and Europe.

Finally, Kevin tears apart Barack Obama’s recent claim that he never associated with “hateful or extreme people” by exposing the truth behind his entire political career.
