Adam Schiff and Kash Patel get into a shouting match on Capitol Hill

The long-running feud between Adam Schiff and FBI Director Kash Patel erupted during a Senate Judiciary hearing Tuesday, briefly halting proceedings with a heated shouting match.

The clash began when Schiff questioned Patel about the Justice Department’s decision to move Ghislaine Maxwell to a lower-security prison, accusing him of downplaying political influence.

Patel fired back, calling Schiff a “political buffoon” and accusing him of past misconduct during Russiagate and the Jan. 6 investigations.

The tension reflects years of political animosity, including past social media posts and conflicting roles in congressional investigations, Politico has reported.

Similar confrontations occurred with other senators, and the hearing spotlighted Patel’s handling of high-profile cases, including Epstein and the Charlie Kirk assassination probe.
