Trying to serve an ejectment⚖️… but the Sheriff 🚓 can’t break my $100💸 Now we gotta hunt for change

Today I headed to the Sheriff’s Department to serve another Summary Ejectment — the official step telling a tenant they must appear in court for unpaid rent. This is a legal must-have: without proper service, the case can’t move forward. ⚖️

But of course, nothing is ever simple. The county only accepts cash for the filing fee — and when I presented a $100 bill, they refused it because they didn’t have change. Seriously. So now I’ve got to find somewhere to break that bill, pay the fee, and get the serve completed. ⏳💸

What I cover in the video:

Why serving a Summary Ejectment matters (notice, court appearance, repossession possible)

The timeline we followed (grace period → 10-Day Notice → filing)

Real-world headaches that slow the process (paperwork, department rules, cash-only nonsense)

How we adapt: find exact change, get the paperwork filed, and keep the eviction process moving

If you’re a landlord or property manager: learn from this — paperwork + timing + patience win the day. And always carry small bills. 😉

Let’s get the serve done and see you in court. Let’s Get To Work!
