Bill Maher Praises Charlie Kirk, Slams the Left

Bill Maher shocked many by speaking out after the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk. On his podcast with Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins, Maher praised Kirk for always being willing to talk — something he says the left refuses to do.

Maher admitted he disagreed with Kirk politically, but recognized his humanity, blasting far-left activists for celebrating his death and for shutting down real dialogue.

“Say what you want about right-wingers,” Maher said, “but they’ll talk to you. The left says, ‘You’re deplorable. I can’t even break bread with you.’ That’s what’s wrong with this country.”
