This conversation with Francis Hunt just blew my mind. Several people had recommended him as a guest over the years, and now I see why. We went deep into the economy and society, exploring the reality of hyper-stagflation, that toxic mix of stagnation and inflation, and what it means for ordinary people trying to survive and preserve wealth in a collapsing system.

Francis began by sharing his own journey into the world of finance, and how events early in his career shaped his worldview. He then laid out the historical context of economic exploitation, from usury and subprime lending to globalisation and the manipulation of political narratives.

We discussed how tribalism, polarisation, and groupthink blind people to reality, while logic and reason are increasingly drowned out by emotion. The conversation also touched on gold and cryptocurrency as wealth-preservation strategies, the inversion of societal norms, government control, and the possibility of a controlled demolition of the West’s economy.

We also looked at how technological change is reshaping labour, and why financial awareness is essential for anyone who wants to protect themselves and their families.
