Canada’s $2B, Carney, and Freeland — What’s Going On?

Chrystia Freeland has left Mark Carney’s cabinet — but not Parliament (for now...)

At the same time, Carney pledged $2B in Kyiv and suddenly named her Canada’s envoy for Ukraine’s reconstruction.

So what’s happening here? Is this about rebuilding Ukraine — or rebuilding Canada’s image in Europe?
