MonkeyPod? What even is it?

Today I turned a piece of wood I’d never worked with before — Monkeypod — and wow, was I blown away! I had no idea what to expect, but this blank revealed absolutely stunning grain patterns, with flowing lines and wild streaks of rich, multi-toned color. It was one of those pleasant surprises that reminds you why woodturning is so addictive.
