Water Baptism Is Not Sound Doctrine

Along the course of scriptural developments from the Old Testament to the New Testament, certain practices are observed in accordance with specific doctrinal expectations that are defined and outlined by the revelation declared. One such practice is water baptism.

Being widely mistaken as a formal practice demanded of Christian believers, and incorrectly viewed as openly testifying to acceptance of faith and commitment to Christ, the act of baptizing is frequently misconstrued due to a failure to distinguish the specific messages declared in Scripture concerning its doctrinal application.

Many believers today inadvertently participate in the displacement of spiritual revelation that affirms a believer's salvation solely through belief in Christ with an accompanying confession that is their witness of faith in Christ. Water baptism is not a doctrinal practice or requirement of Christ’s spiritual body of believers.
