Shirakawa Ryuji Shihan, 6th dan Aikikai, is Dojocho (the head of dojo) of Aikido Shinbu Rensei Juku which has over 400 students around the Tohoku area, Japan.

Its high skill has been highly appreciated overseas and is said to be one of the most popular Aikido teachers
in the world now.
The main overseas teaching places are Hungary, Greece, Canada, Monaco, Russia, etc.

Catch Wrestling is a combat sport and submission martial art mainly developed in England during the second half of the 19 century. It rapidly gained popularity at the dawn of the industrial revolution, when coal miners adopted it as one of their main sources of entertainment. They'd place bets in no points competitions where you could win either by submission or by pin in 2 out of 3 falls. Yes, this gave birth to the Pro Wrestling we know today, but that is a subject for another time.

Catch Wrestling is also known as CATCH AS CATCH CAN, that can be translated as "By whatever means or in any way possible", this is evident in its robust technical base, that includes a great variety of Takedowns and Submissions, like: Chokeholds, Armlocks, Cranks and Devastating Leg Locks... MANY, DEVASTATING, Leglocks. If it can be bent, it can be broken.
Today we have several Catch Wrestling based styles, that go from the original, still practiced in the historic academy: Snake Pit, to regional variations like: C.S.W., Shoot Wrestling, S.A.W. and Luta Livre among others.

Catch Wrestling is highly adaptable to Mixed Martial Arts Competitions, as proven by their biggest contemporary practitioners: Kazushi Sakuraba and Josh Barnett.
